 How to Sleep Fast-There are a variety of quick ways to sleep that we can find on the internet or other sources of literature. However, practice has always not been as easy as the theory. 


National Sleep Foundation guidelines recommend healthy adults need between 7-9 hours of sleep per night, while people over 65 are recommended to sleep 7-8 hours per night. Lack of sleep can have a number of adverse effects on health, including obesity, high blood pressure, and an increased risk of heart disease. 

One way to quickly sleep that can be practiced is the army method ( military method ). This quick way to sleep is claimed to make us more likely to fall asleep in just two minutes.


The soldiers were first reported by Sharon Ackerman in a book called Relax and Win: Championship Performance. According to Ackerman, the U.S. Navy's Pre-Flight School created a bedtime routine to help pilots fall asleep in two minutes or less. 

It took the pilots about six weeks to train, but for them it worked. In fact, they can still do it after drinking coffee or sleeping amid the noise of gunshots. The technique is said to work for 96 percent of people who tried it after training it in six weeks.

How to Sleep Fast

To practice how to quickly sleep soldiers, try doing the following steps: 

  1. Relax the entire face, including the muscles in the mouth. 
  2. Lower your shoulders to remove tension and let your hands be next to your body in a relaxed manner. 
  3. Exhale, let the chest relax. 
  4. Let your legs, thighs and calves relax. 
  5. Clear your mind for 10 seconds by imagining the atmospheres that make us relax.
 If this doesn't work, try thinking about the words "don't think" continuously for 10 seconds. 
Ideally, we'll fall asleep in those 10 seconds.

If you have tried a quick way to sleep soldiers but not succeeded, maybe we need to apply the foundation of the army's sleep method, which is to relax breathing and muscles. 

Scientific evidence says that both can succeed the strategies of how to quickly sleep that we practice. Some conditions, such as ADHD or anxiety, may also be able to sense the effectiveness of this method. Meanwhile, sleep expert Dr Neil Stanley explained to The Independent that the most important factor when looking for a quick way to sleep is to keep our minds calm.



 According to him, to be able to sleep quickly we need three things, namely a bedroom environment conducive to sleep, a relaxed body, and a calm mind. "We won't be able to fall asleep if the mind keeps busy. So, doing anything that can make our minds calm can be a quick way to sleep." 

How to Sleep Fast

There is no quick way to sleep that is "magical" and applies to everyone. So, find a quick way to sleep that applies to ourselves. 

It could be reading a book, taking a warm bath, drinking tea, meditating, inhaling aromatherapy, or any other means. "Whichever way of sleep we choose, the important thing is that it can drive away our worries about the stress-triggering things of the day," he said.
